I really dislike Freud. From a scientific respect, he was totally wrong; I think we can all agree on that. But looking at his work from an artistic point of view, it’s all so much more relevant and interesting! Not that I particularly care about his work; rather, I’m attracted to the artistic work he inspired. So while he was totally nuts, I concede: his life had a point. Oh well.
Whenever I'm getting ready to leave the house,
I make sure to throw a book in my bag. I do it even when I doubt I’ll have any time to read; it just feels necessary.
